Cold Store Operative

Job Duties

  • Moving stock around by hand, forklift, reach truck or lifting gear.
  • Loading and off loading product and completing the appropriate paperwork.
  • It will also include recording the necessary information on all paperwork, including taking the temperatures of 1 in 5 pallets.

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.
  • Supervision of all staff under your direct or indirect control
  • Assisting the warehouse operatives moving stock around by hand, forklift, reach truck or lifting gear.
  • Ensuring Schedules and deadlines are adhered to.
  • Communicate & Implement change as directed
  • Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stocktakes and audit of same to verify results.
  • Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service
  • A valid forklift licence and reach truck licence are essential and previous experience of radio frequency software would be an advantage
  • The post is a rotating shift system that will include night shift and weekends
